Diana Domingues offers poetic moments of the sensitive perception of the human body scrutinized by the most advanced technologies. Medical iconographies show the pumping of a heart in an ultrasound scanning, viscera in videolaparoscopies, a womb with a foetus and lung's visions. These high performance technologies let us see and listen worlds of human bodies in action never known before. Organs, surfaces, hollows and recesses, body pieces are exposed; the reverse side of the body is spread via net. Each page offers invitations: TOUCH (like touch my body). When the participant accepts to TOUCH on the screen signalized places, he is touching the flesh, his membranes, he enters in the cardiac flow and he goes to many other territories of human bodies. Poetics, historical and scientific text, human body graphics, red screen as immaterial blood are also offered. The participant keeps a dialog through the the vital human body connected whit the artifical energy of the technologie.

MEDICAL IMAGES: echographies, videolaparoscopies, computerized tomographies, electrocardiacs graphics

Analogical scanned and synthetic images are put on the homepages. Several images are animated, others offer a zoom in their microstucture. The echographic images are ultrasound scanning. These images are made by the computer that receives through a sensor or sonar the signal of the body and transform sound into images. Computerized tomographies show thin slices of the body. Videolaparoscopies are recorded by microcamera that registers travels on the visceras, lungs during a surgery. The artist uses the medical devices in special laboratories with technicians to produce these situations. Photographic images, eletrocardiogram graphics, mixed texts in many different languages are also offered on an hybrid construction. All that data is electronically-treated by some programs like Adobe for edition and finally placed on the www by the HTML language. To interact: through the world TOUCH written in different parts of the screen the participant can open other Homepages and he can also provoke animation.
